Hi, I'm Henry Dao—though you might also see me as Hoang Dao on some platforms.
I'm a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in California, but my couples take me all over the world. And honestly? After 11 years and 400+ weddings, I still get just as excited about wedding #401 as I did about my very first one.
Why? Because this isn't just what I do—it's who I am. Every wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime story, and I get the incredible privilege of preserving it forever. No two days are ever the same, and that's exactly what keeps this work so meaningful to me.
But let me tell you the real reason I do this...
Let me be honest with you: after 400+ weddings, I could have stopped years ago. But here's the thing : Every single wedding day still gives me goosebumps.
Why? Because I get to witness pure, unfiltered happiness. I see it in the way you squeeze your partner's hand during the vows. In the belly laughs with your bridesmaids. In your grandmother's tears during your first dance. These moments are why I wake up excited to do this work.
When I deliver your gallery and you cry happy tears seeing yourselves truly seen for the first time that's my passion. That's what drives me.
My Approaching
I like it when my couples solely focus on each other, and just pretend I’m not even there.
I love it when my couples play around together, attack each other with neck kisses, give each other booty grabs, or just whisper funny shit in each other’s ears!
I don’t want you worrying about where to place your hands, how to move, or how your hair looks. I’ll guide you, and it will feel natural. Instead, I want you feeling relaxed and consumed in your love.
By the end of it, you’ll naturally be holding hands, kissing, and laughing...creating those real, heart-warming photos.

Beyond the awesomeness, Henry made our wedding so fun and memorial
Henry was awesome ! He called me the day before the wedding and was so sweet and accommodating. My husband and I have a few ideas for locations and Henry made it clear that he was happy to go wherever we wanted and could decide day off. He was a pro at navigating some of the best locations in the area and made it feel at ease in front of the camera. Neither of us had ever taken professional photos before and Henry’s energy was great. He had us laughing and dancing and before we knew it, we had some really amazing photographs. We are so pleased with the final set and completely shocked with the turnaround time. Thank you so much, Henry !
